Since we're going along with this idea, we're going to need to layout all the ground work now; as I'm not that keen to do it AFTER we've started inviting people.

For ranks, I was thinking something along these lines:

    1. Guild Master
    2. Guild Officer - All privileges, max bank access, edit notes, MOTD, G Info, promos/demotes/kicks/invites etc. Only for a selected group (6-8 ) of players who are extremely dependable (eg, Myself, Nashy, Chan).
    3. Raiding Officer - Medium/High level back access, promos/demotes/kicks/invites, MOTD, handles scheduled raids along with Guild Officers.
    4. Veteran - As high as most raiders will get, Medium level bank access, has priority entry to scheduled raids over lower ranks. A rank of experience, gained by participating in many runs (20+).
    5. Experienced Raider - Deposit to bank, has priority to raids over lower ranks. A rank gained by consistent participation in raids(10+).
    6. Raider - Deposit to lower bank slots, has priority to raids over lower ranks. A rank gained by participating well in a few raids (5+).
    7. New Raider - The rank given to entry level raiders.

    Rules

    - 1 Month inactivity = kick unless you have a reason (such as holidays or temp internet loss), in which case you must let an officer know.

    - In terms of swearing etc, its accepted, but repetitive or direct swearing will get you a warning/kick depending on the level of insult.

At the moment, I'm working on a website, so I won't be on WoW until a bit later. Smar, it would be a good idea if you put a notice on MOTD saying that we're setting up a seperate guild for 80s that wish to raid, so if they're interested, contact one of us.

Also Dan, if you have MSN, add me to we can talk easier outside of wow and help speed things up.

Ok, thanks, thats cool. I like the ranks but i just want to change a few of the names for like, new raider, experienced, etc, to things like legend, hero, etc hehe

    I dont have MSN.

A little problem i see is that, for example, nashy will be organizing raids but should he be guild officer or raid officer/whatever

with the rules about searing. I think it will be ok unless:

    1) its a directed insult to someone
    2) spamming it
    3) using it for everything, i would like the guild chat to be mature (dont say "coming from you") and swearing isn't really that mature
    4) using it after an officer asks you to stop.

Yeah thats okay, as long as they make sense and suit the privileges they get.

You should get MSN, its hard to talk via wow of forums only Evil or Very Mad. Nashy, Alex and I are chatting on there often.

Thats a good point, I suppose which ever he prefers. Ultimately he can organize raids from either position, but I guess the higher one would give him more power.

I know he should be the higher one, but when there is a raid on people will say "hand on, why is an officer organzing it and not the raid organziers"?

also, MSN im not sure it works for mac

Well really, a guild officer would just be a bigger version of a raid officer, not so much a different role, just a higher one, that how I saw it anyway.

What version Mac do you have?
